Greece Extra 5 is the Greek EXTRA 5 game run by OPAP, Greece's national lottery operator, since November 2002.

How the draw works

5 numbers are drawn from 1 to 35. There is no bonus ball.
There are two draws every day: the Afternoon draw at 15:00 Greek time and the Evening draw at 19:00 Greek time - 14:00 and 18:00 or 15:00 and 19:00 SAST. See draw times.
The draws are electronic, and OPAP publishes the numbers within seconds.
Both draws are held every day of the year, public holidays included.

How betting on it works in South Africa

You can't buy a Greek ticket from South Africa. Instead, licensed bookmakers offer Greece Extra 5 as a Lucky Numbers bet, with the two daily draws as two markets: Greece Extra 5 Afternoon and Greece Extra 5 Evening.

Choose the market - Afternoon or Evening - and how many numbers you want to back, then pick them from 1 to 35.
Choose your stake. The payout is your stake multiplied by the bookmaker's fixed odds for that bet.
Place the bet before the bookmaker's cut-off time for that draw.
After the draw, compare your numbers with the latest results.
